Five new members of the Youth Advisory Council announced

29 Mar 2022

The Clean Growth Leadership Network (CGLN) is pleased to announce that five outstanding individuals have been selected to join our Youth Advisory Council. These new additions will join the six existing members announced earlier in the year, completing the cohort for 2022.

CGLN’s Youth Advisory Council brings together leaders of tomorrow, to ensure that the next generation has a meaningful voice in discussions that will impact their future.

They represent emerging talent in nine hard-to-abate economic sectors, where accelerated action will be crucial in tackling climate change: energy, transport, agriculture, finance, construction, manufacturing, mining, petrochemicals, and greenhouse gas removal.

CGLN’s Executive Director, Yulia Chekunaeva, commented:

“We strongly believe that to solve the climate crisis, young thinkers must be engaged in a meaningful way – after all, their generation will be the ones to pay the price if we neglect our duty to stabilise the climate.

“I am delighted to have a completed Council of impressive young thinkers, and to hit the ground running today with our first full meeting to discuss how their insight can aid us in growing the Network and the work we do.”

The CGLN is eager to promote the insights of each council member within their respective sectors, and for the Council to collectively play a key role in the organic development of the Network.
